I ca'nt get the msts update! The web site is malfunctioning,can someone e-mail me the file?

It is a 7Mb file, so it is too large for my email to send to you. I have just downloaded it from the MSTS Update section in the Roster section in NETS with no problems. Do you get an error message of any sort when you try to download it? Question

I have'nt been able to access the web site either from my google,train-sim,or by my vnerr cd! I'll try it again.
Tried again through all the above ways and got a message that the web site is not available!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to bother you but could you send me the web address you used?

, but the NERR's own website at http://www.vnerr.com is the one that I was referring to in my previous post, and it is working fine for me.

Go there, login to NETS and then go to the Roster section, and then you will see the MSTS Update tab. Click on that, and you will find a number of files to download and install.

I have the sd-40 update file but am told there is no installation file available so I ca'nt install the update!
I'll just have to keep trying.

As stated in earlier posts in this thread, you will find all the updates that you need in the Roster section of NETS on this website. Why are you still looking elsewhere for the files?

As you have found, the Microsoft website no longer supplies all the update files. That's why the NERR, and a few other places, decided to make the files available.

Have you tried to download the files from our own website? if you are not prepared to take our advice, then we will no longer try to help you.

I apologize for not answering sooner.I still cant install the SD-40 update since I keep getting a message that the installation file is not available! So even though I have the Sd-40 file,There is no way I can install it.All I can do is check every few days to see if Microsoft makes the installation file available.
Again I'm sorry for not writing sooner,there is no good reason for my delay.

Well, today I downloaded both of the files you are enquiring about directly from the NERR website and was able to load them to my computer when I re-installed MSTS this afternoon.

So for me they seemed to work.

I don't understand what you meant by "Microsoft making the file available". It's all right here for you on the NERR website. I doubt if MS is going to be doing anything with TS anytime soon.

gaveril, I have sent you a PM with the advice again about downloading the files that you need from the NERR's own website. Maybe you will take notice of that message.

Let's get this clear:

You can get all the update files that you need from the NERR website. You will NOT be able to download all of them them from Microsoft, because Microsoft will never, ever make them available again!! So you are wasting your time and ours by not following our advice.

Make up your mind whether you want to be part of the NERR. When you ask for help around here, you will always get good advice. If you choose to ignore that advice, you will soon find that no one will try to help you in the future.

I have sent a message explaining that the fault is solely mine since I somehow became confused with messages I received from my computer saying that the installation program was not available!
If anyone feels that I have ignored your help (this is certainly not the case) then for the good of the program,I will resign since it appears that I have upset some people.

There is no need to talk about resigning. As I said to you in my PM a few minutes ago, the guys really enjoy helping people; they just need to know that their suggestions and advice are being listened to. I hope that, when you download the files and installed them, you move on to enjoy the NERR and what it has to offer.
