My activity event marker are not showing up on the screen.
Not sure if this an issue with the NCR route or not.
If I create an activity event or Location event the little circle's with the number do not show on the track. I Set all of the objects visible in the view menu.
Anyone else seen something like this before??

Can you also see your consists? You might need to reset your AE.

Yup, No problem with seeing the consists when I run the activity all the event work and they do show up in the event windows and action events windows I can edit them just fine.
the little circles on the track dont show up makes Finding them almost impossible!
I usually have to open each event one at a time, read the message to know if I am working with the right one or not.

Rboert, I would reset the AE anyway and see if that helps. You might also want to check if you now have this problem with other activities, if you do then that means you need to do a reset.

I have an ASUS laptop running Vista 64 SP2 with Intel core 2 duo @ 2.53 Ghz, and 6 GB RAM.
I'm having the same problem i.e. all Location Event markers have disappeared. Everything was working fine when I started creating this activity then they were just gone.
Went to the registry and deleted all HWRenderer references to AE. Re-started AE, same problem. Went back to registry, and all references to AE are still missing. Don't these reload the next time the program runs? If not, how can I get these to come back other than importing my backup registry?
Tried to figure out which AE references pertain to location event markers....too cryptic. There are 3 references to 'event':
AE_Eventlist0Open 0x00000000 (0)
AE_Eventlist1Open 0x00000008 (
AE_Eventlist2Open 0x00000000 (0)
These each have X-Y position coordinates which leads me to believe they are just the windows that list the 3 types of events, Action, Time, & Location.
This is occurring in all activities, including ones in my mini-routes which have their own train.exe and launcher.exe programs. This tells me it must be a registry problem.
By 'reset the editor', exactly what do you mean? Do you mean to reload MSTS....I really hope not.
Thanks for all your help in advance,

Your bringing up an extremely old problem. It has been a long time for me and that error. But if I recall correctly there is a small utility at trainsim.com that resets all the AE stuff back to original status. It is possible the utility is here for download as well, but I am not sure at this time.

The program name is "msts-scrz.exe". It used to be hosted at TrainSim.com, but I can't locate it today. It's attached here and will be removed soon.

Thanks, Bob and Rick. I ran mstsscrz.exe to no avail. Still same problem. Maybe someone else has an idea of what I can do. Everything else works just fine, I can even create new location events, the markers indicating their location just aren't there. Just kind of aggravating is all.
By the way, Rick, I'm from Oklahoma too. Purcell.
Again, thanks.

Looks like mstsscrz only works with WinXP. Don't know if there are any Vista versions out there.
I've attached a copy of my current AE settings.
Your only other option is to use the registry restore which you mentioned earlier.
I'm located in Duncan.

Just a shot in the dark, but with Vista, you might try a reboot of the computer after you have cleaned out the AE entries. With its security measures, this might be what is needed.

Well, guys, I'd like to thank everyone for trying to help me solve this problem, however, nothing has worked. I guess I'll try a reload of MSTS and see if that works. I'll keep you posted.
Again, thank you.

Well, I've uninstalled and re-installed MSTS, run the update, and the bin patch, etc. Now not only am I still missing the Location Event Markers, I've lost all my consists and their ID's.
Plus, when I try to run an activity, everything goes smoothly until right before the screen changes to engine cab, then MSTS crashes...no message of course. I'm about ready to pull what hair I have left out, but I probably wouldn't look good bald . So, anyone got any ideas? I'm about ready to restore to the day I bought this computer and start from there. Only thing is all the MSTS stuff I have on here.
If anyone can think of anything else I can do, please let me know.
thanks,
