If your Activity Editor crashes when you start to use it, it may be that your video card is too fast for poor old AE!
However in Windows XP you can slow down the video card.
Go to Settings-Control Panel-Display-Settings-Advanced-Troubleshoot and reduce the Hardware Acceleration.
I needed to reduce it one notch and also reduce the color from 32 bit to 16 bit.
From your desktop, right click on a vacant spot.
Go into Properties from your right click menu
Then select the "Settings" tab.
You will see on the mid right hand side - "Colour Quality"
If it's on 32 bit, then change it to 16 bit when you want AE to run or leave it on 16 bit all the time. _________________ John McEwen

If my video card is too fast wouldn't it affect all activities instead of just one routes activities? |

Who knows what will affect MSTS !!
It is really unpredictable.
Maybe just try it - you can always change the the settings back if it doesn't fix it. _________________ John McEwen
