|
|
Last night I was working with AE and had the Service Info in the views checked. The rolling stock was showing in purple and the Location Events circles were showing properly.
I returned to my Activity Editing this evening and these services were not showing up on the map.
I have BIN installed, and I haven't changed anything other than shutting down the computer for the night.
The only thing that will show is the purple car placements, but only when you add cars to a work order. Then they disappear again.
Any ideas how to restore the services to the 2d map??? |

I hesitate putting this here for various reasons, but I think both of these files have been pulled. If not, they are the best way to do it.

Otherwise ..
If you are comfortable with working in the registry, simply go in do a search for HWRenderer then in the right hand pane, delete every key that begins with AE.
When you restart the AE, all of your saved window positions will be lost, but simply click on window/reset window positions and your windows will be back in the default positions, but you should have your consists back
If you make a mistake, it can hose your system. _________________ Robert R. #109 - NW Division

Attached is the AE fix file.
Before using it, you should make up backup of the registry just in case.
To do this go to Run on the start program and type in "regedit" (without quotes) in the Open window and then OK. The Registry Editor should open. Go to File menu, then export and enter a file name (say RE date), select All in Export Range and save.
Edit: Attachment removed at the request of the developer. Done by John Hodgkinson. _________________ John McEwen

A free Activity Editor Fix file by Otto is available at:
http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/downloads/
The file name is:
msts-registry-hwrenderer.zip
I do not believe its use is restricted. _________________ John McEwen

Otto's fix does not have any instructions.
After running it you need to follow robertr's instruction:
"When you restart the AE, all of your saved window positions will be lost, but simply click on window/reset window positions and your windows will be back in the default positions, but you should have your consists back" _________________ John McEwen
